Hasita and Carol will facilitate our time together by leading the group in brief introductions and the exercise “Thirty Years Hence” that Joanna Macy and Molly Young Brown offer in their book, Coming Back To Life: Practices to Reconnect Our Lives, Our World.
Carol DeAngelo, a Sister of Charity of New York, has worked in the fields of social work, health care, leadership development and eco-spirituality. She is Director ofMissionIntegration at St. Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry. Carol facilitates programs in wellness, eco-spirituality, leadership development and nonviolence. She is interested in exploring with others the relationship between spirituality, ecology, justice and daily living.
HasitaNadai researched and taught biology and geology. For ten years she has been a yoga teacher, deep ecologist and energy healer. Hasita trained with Joanna Macy and John Seed. She is developing a new yoga ‘Yogagaia’, the yoga that connects to the earth and the cosmos. She follows the teachings of Thomas Berry and Brian Swimme.

General directions: a few tenths of a mile south of White Plains-Scarsdale border, one block east of Post Road (RT 22) also known as White Plains Post Road, not White Plains road.

From Dobbs Ferry: Take Ashford Road east all the way. It becomes Ardsley Road, then Popham Road in Scarsdale. Take to end. Then turn left onto Post Road(North) and continue north. Know that when you reach the intersection of Fenimore Road (Fire and Police Station) and Post Road, you continue 0.6 miles northward to Fairview Road on the right. Make a right on Fairview Road. Then take the first right onto Greendale Road. House is first on the right.

From Bronx River Parkway North: Exit 15: Fenimore Rd. Right onto Fenimore Rd. East on Fenimore Rd until the end. Turn left on to Post Road. Go 0.6 miles northward. Take a right onto Fairview Road. First right onto Greendale Road. First house on the right.

From Bronx River Parkway South: Exit 16 “Hartsdale Station”. Turn left. Go over Parkway one block. Take right at light. At the next light take a left ontoFenimoreRoad. East onFenimoreRduntil the end. Turn left ontoPost Road. Go 0.6 miles north. Take a right ontoFairview Road. First right ontoGreendale Road.First house on the right.

TappenZee Bridge: Take 287 and exit #6 which takes you to Rt. 22 Post Road. Go east (right), follow all the way. It will take a sharp bend south (White Plains Business Center). After 5 minutes you will see the sign on the right, “Village of Scarsdale”. Slow down, move to the center lane and turn left at the second road to the left –Fairview Rd. First right onto Greendale Road. House is first on right.
